Guru Purnima 2012 and inauguration new Babaji temple

At Sada Shiva Dham in Loenen, Netherlands, a new Babaji temple is being build. It will be inaugurated on the 2e of July as a part of the Guru Purnima celebrations from 28 June up to and including 3 Juli.

Daily program: Paduka Puja (ritual invitation for Babaji to be Present), Aarti (lightceremony with mantra singing), Havan (vedic fireceremony for universal Harmony and Peace). At some days there will be cultural activities. One can participate for one day, a part of a day or more days. There are different possibilities voor stay and the meals are vegetarian.

Guru Purnima is the festival of the full moon in July. It is dedicated to the inner and outer Guru, spiritual teacher. At Sada Shiva Dham this inspiration comes from Mahavatar Hairakhan Babaji, simply called Babaji, and Shri Muniraj Maharaj, who took care of Babaji's ashrams after Babaji's Maha Samadhi.

Shri Muniraj has indicated to come to these festivities in Loenen, but this is dependant on his health situation, which is good at this moment.

This year will be the main day of Guru Purnima on 15th July.
At Sada Shiva Dham we will celebrate this day in honor of the guru, for us Shri Haidakhan Babaji and Muniraj Maharaj. The program is as follows:

Thursday 14th July: 
19.30 : Aarti and Kirtan Karo (bhajans singing) in the dhuni (fire-house)!

Friday 15th July: 
6.30 : Paduka Puja (welcome ceremony for Babaji).
7.30  : Aarti (offer of light and singing of bhajans)
9.00 : Guru Puja (ceremony for the Guru)
10.00 : Havan (vedische vuurceremonie)
13.30 : Bhandara ( Lunch)

Celebrating Christmas 2010

Christmas will be celebrated, like every year, at Sada Shiva Dham. Christmas Eve, 24th December, will be observed with the usual Aarti (light ceremony and singing of mantra's) at 19 o'clock and singing of carols. Every visitor is invited to bring a present of about 5 euro, which will go under the christmas tree, and later in the evening these presents will be distributed among the participants. The morning of the 25th will be celebrated with Aarti at 7.30 and a festive havan (vedic fire ceremony) at 10, with a vegetarian Lunch about 13 o'clock. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Costs are 25 euro inclusive of lodging and vegetarian meals. Bedsheets are not included (5 euro per set).

Shastriji about Mahendra Baba

Shastriji (Shri Vishnu Datt Shastri) was a great devotee of Babaji. He was a knower of the vedic literature en always in the service of Babaji as a priest. Mahendra Baba was a great yogi of whom is said that his great devotion to Babaji made Babaji come to earth again. Mahendra has also been the guru of Shastriji.

Om Namah Shivay is like nectar

The importance of the mantra Om Namah Shivay Babaji expresses as follows :

"This Om Namah Shivay is like nectar; feed everyone with this nectar. Shri Mahaprabuji (Babaji) wishes that all words would disappear from this world, except three - Om Namah Shivay. This is the original mantra. When Primordial Energy first appeared, the first mantra that She uttered from Her holy mouth was Om Namah Shivay."

This mantra Om Namah Shivay is recommended for meditation, but not only. One can practice it during activity, silent in the heart or aloud with devotion. Bhole Baba Ki Jai.

Babaji weekend: 18-19th December 2010

The next Babaji weekend is in the weekend of 18-19th December. Everybody is welcome. In such a weekend the teachings of Babaji are central and there is much opportunity to sing Aarti (prayer in Sanskrit and Hindi) and Kirtan (singing of vedic mantra's). On Sunday morning there is a special Havan (vedic fire ceremony). 

One is already welcome on Friday evening and one can participate in a little Havan and Aarti on Saturday morning. During the day there is time for karma yoga, yoga of work, that means taking part in work at the ashram. One can also come on Saturday. Saturday evening the Aarti and kirtan start at 19.00 o'clock, on Sunday morning Aarti is at 7.30 and the special Havan is at 10.00 o'clock. After that: again there is some karma yoga, this time mainly cleaning and some other karma yoga opportunities. The weekend will finish with a vegetarian lunch at 13.00 o'clock.

The financial contribution is 25 euro per day, inclusive of staying overnight and meals. Bed sheets: 5 euro per set. Also, when one comes only on Sunday morning, without staying overnight, one should give a contribution.

You should do your work, whatever it may be, to the best of your ability. You must be alert in every moment. You must be true to your country. Message about Babaji's new Appearance

Sri Maha Munirajji  made today the following pronouncement, that is read out  by Vijay Gupta and translated into English by Uday Chatterjee: 

"I am about to give you good news about Babaji, news that you have all been waiting a long time for.
It is my belief that Shri Babaji is Lord Shiva Himself and that Lord Shiva  appears in the universe as and when the need arises.In fact Babaji said all religions in the world  are one  and  have come about with the inspiration of the Lord.
Babaji has already assumed his new form in the material world and can appear anywhere as per his wish! We all ardently wish that Babaji appears again in Haidakhan Vishwa Mahadam. For this to happen, we all need to engage in Om Namaha Shivaya Jappa and Kirtan constantly and continuously with great purity  and ardent devotion.
